Swietokrzyskie Innovation System - "IT market in Japan" Seminar |
Japanese IT market is the 3rd largest in the world and 2nd largest among OECD countries, 323 billion dollars (2014, OECD), and growing steadily. Especially, such areas as IoT, cyber security, big data, fintech and so on are attracting enormously high attention in the market and companies pour into a lot of spending. They are looking for new technologies.
Also, thanks to Abenomics, the economic and investment climate in Japan has been rapidly changing and greatly improved. Business and living costs in Tokyo become less than Hong Kong, Singapore, or Shanghai, and Japanese government tries to tackle regulatory barriers eagerly. Doing business in Japan is much easier than ever. European Business Council in Japan, which is the economic organization of European companies in Japan, titled its recent annual report as “Golden Opportunity”. The number of 10 companies from CEE region which participated in the IT mission to Japan organized by JETRO (with the biggest presence of Polish companies), shows the willingness of foreign IT companies to explore opportunities existing on Japanese market.
During the seminar, presentations about the attractiveness of Japanese market will be given, including the speech by Japanese IT specialist on IT market in Japan as well as by JETRO on Japanese economy and JETRO’s support program for foreign companies. Apart from those presentations, representative of Polish company will share her experience in Japanese market.
